Education

Márta Ábrahám was the pupil of some of the most illustrious Maestros of her generation, important representatives of major violin schools, including Ruggiero Ricci at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and David Takeno at the Guildhall School of Music and Dance in London. She won her diploma “Summa Cum Laude” in 1996 at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest as the pupil of Natas Sós, Dénes Kovács and Ferenc Rados. She attended masterclasses with Nathan Milstein, Elisabeth Gilels, Loránd Fenyves, György Kurtág and Vladimir Spivakov.

Impassionated by teaching, Márta Ábrahám was inspired by these great pedagogues developing her own teaching method, creating a synthesis of these important violin schools.

Appointed in 2005 as Professor of Violin at her Alma Mater Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Márta Ábrahám splits her time between her solo career and teaching, dedicating herself with passion to teaching students from around the world.
